Custom Metadata (Property) Fields

The custom metadata fields (also known as custom property sets) within infoXpert enable organisations to create an extensive range of user defined fields for folders and documents.

An example is the creation of custom invoice metadata fields, with separate fields for supplier, invoice number and amount, which enables users to search specifically on these fields, display in reports or insert in bookmarks within auto generated MS Word documents.

Key features include:

• Define a wide range of parameters for each field including data type (text, numeric, date), length and control type (text box, list box, etc.)
• Create lookups for fields to search/validate across existing records or external data sources
• Search screens can be configured to use custom metadata for advanced searching
• Custom Properties can be applied to Users, Documents and Folders
